There are 4 main habits for happiness. The first habit is to be active and exercise. Do something fun that gets your blood pumping. This will increase your endorphins and naturally bring more happiness into your life. Another great habit for happiness is being grateful. A great book on Gratitude is The Gratitude Diaries. Although it is said that it takes 21 days to create a habit, it is even better if you continue past 21 days and make it a lifestyle. Another great habit for happiness is Sending Love. Take time out of your day to tell someone you love them, tell someone you appreciate them. If you don’t feel like you have someone in your life that you are grateful for and appreciate, I would like to invite you to go to a coffee shop and hand out 5 roses to random strangers. This act of kindness will not only make you feel good, but it will put a smile on someones face and send them love and show there is kindness in the world. You may realize over time that we are all experiencing the same thing in our lives, just in slightly different ways. If you are having a bad day, you might be surprised that others are feeling the same way. Sending someone love only makes challenging times a little easier. The last, but not least habit for happiness is meditation. Allow yourself time to breathe. Allow yourself to relax. Disconnect from the business of the world. Quiet your mind. Meditation has been shown to reverse aging, reverse gray matter in the brain and is very healing on the body. There are many great meditation apps, like Calm, Envision, and Headspace just to name a few. Find one that works best for you and allow yourself time to quiet your mind and relax your body. You deserve it. I would also like to invite you to download our Habits for Happiness 21 day challenge to finding happiness.
